About
Parisa Setayesh is a Ph.D. candidate in the Earth and Environmental Science program and the Co-Director of HASTAC Scholars Program. After completing a Masters’s Degree in Architecture and Urbanism, Parisa gained a lot of experience as adjunct faculty in Iran at the Apadana University of Shiraz and founded an urban and architectural design firm specializing in public space design and pedestrianization.
She is interested in the intersection of design issues and climate change and is doing her dissertation research on the Political Ecology of Infrastructures for Flood Mitigation. During her Ph.D. studies, she has been a Teaching Fellow at Hunter College Department of Geography and part of the CCRUN research institute. She was also a social media as a fellow at the GC Digital Initiatives and the Coordinator of CUNY Climate Scholars program. Blog Posts
