I am a cultural anthropologist and digital storyteller pursuing a doctorate at Vanderbilt University. My research focuses on human ecology, indigenous activism and resource extraction in the Andes. My multimodal dissertation will examine the relationship between gender, silver mining and indigenous new media activism among the Aymara of Peru. I was a HASTAC fellow in 2015-16, and am currently a fellow with the Vanderbilt Institute for Digital Learning (VIDL) for 2016-17.
