Hamida Khatri is a distinguished professional and social justice advocate. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Arts, Technology, & Emerging Communication at the University of Texas at Dallas, while also pursuing an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas. With over 15 years of experience, she is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and an expert in Gender-Based Violence. Hamida founded VR Catalyst, a nonprofit leveraging virtual reality and games for healing survivors of gender-based violence. Her interdisciplinary research spans computational social science, victimology, and the philosophy of psychiatry, focusing on the psychological and social impacts of violence against women. Education
