About

As a PhD student in the Graduate Division of Religion at Emory University, my research examines performances of gender in North African Islamic mysticism. I am particularly interested in the construction and negotiation of masculinities within Islamic mystical thought, texts, and practices. Prior to joining Emory, I received a Masters in Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School.
