    About

I am a Humanities and Social Sciences Librarian at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. In this role, I provide workshops and library information services to UBC’s Departments of Anthropology, French, Hispanic and Italian Studies, and Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies. I am responsible for developing UBC Library collections in my liaison areas, ensuring the library’s print and digital resources support the research, teaching, and learning needs of UBC faculty, students, and staff.

One of my current areas of focus is in Research Data Management, specifically on the management of language and linguistics research data. I am a member of the Research Data Alliance (RDA) Linguistics Data Interest Group.

I have a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree from The School of Information at The University of British Columbia and a MA in Linguistics from the University of Calgary where I focused on the second language acquisition of phonology (sound patterns of language).

When I’m not working, I can be found training for and competing in triathlons and Masters swimming (open water & pool). Or maintaining The Champlain Heights Archive, a community archives I created with the goal of documenting the history of the Champlain Heights neighbourhood in Southeast Vancouver.
