About

Laura Hernández Lorenzo holds a PhD in Spanish Literature, and is a member of “Poesía Andaluza del Siglo de Oro” Group (HUM241). She currently holds the position of Margarita Salas postdoc at the University of Seville. As part of her postdoctoral training, she worked as researcher in Digital Humanities at POSTDATA project, and as Postdoctoral Fellow of the project “Large-Scale Text Analysis and Methodological Foundations of Computational Stylistics” (SONATA-BIS 2017/26/E/HS2/01019) and Assistant professor at the Polish Academy of Sciences (IJP-PAN). Her PhD, titled “Los textos poéticos de Fernando de Herrera: aproximaciones desde la Estilística de corpus y la Estilometría” -that is, “The Poetic Works by Fernando de Herrera: Corpus Stylistics and Stylometry approaches”-, focuses on Fernando de Herrera’s poetry using methodologies from Philology and Textual Criticism as well as Digital Humanities, specially Computational Stylistics and Stylometry. She has participated in diverse conferences on Digital Humanities, Corpus Linguistics and Corpus Stylistics in Europe. Her PhD has been awarded as Best Digital Humanities Dissertation by BBVA and the Spanish Association of Digital Humanities.
