Ivy Schweitzer is Professor of English and past chair of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Dartmouth College. Her fields are early American literature, American poetry, women’s literature, gender and cultural studies. She has written extensively in these fields, and edited and co-edited several anthologies of primary and secondary materials. She recently completed The Occom Circle, a digital edition of works by and about Samson Occom, an 18th century Mohegan Indian writer and activist, https://www.dartmouth.edu/~occom/, and was the producer for the full-length documentary film entitled It’s Criminal: A Story of Prison and Privilege, https://www.facebook.com/ItIsCriminal/, based on the courses she co-teaches in and about jails and drug rehabs. She just finished “White Heat,” a year-long blog on Emily Dickinson, http://journeys.dartmouth.edu/whiteheat/, and co-edited a collection of essays titled “The Afterlives of Indigenous Archives.”
