I’m a freelance research skills trainer, writer, and
publisher.
In 2014 I was awarded my PhD on the Victorian novelist
Florence Marryat by the University of Sussex. Before moving into academia, I worked for 12 years as a web developer and IT manager. I now divide my time between the 19th and 21st centuries.
In 2009 I founded
Victorian Secrets, a small press dedicated to publishing books from and about the nineteenth century.
I’ve just finished writing a monograph on Florence Marryat, due for publication in 2018/19.
