About

I am a third-year PhD student in the English Department at the University of Miami and the 2019-2020 UM Project Manager for WhatEvery1Says, a Mellon-funded collaboration between UC Santa Barbara, CSU Northridge, and UM which which uses digital humanities methods to study public discourse about the humanities at large data scales. I am originally from South Louisiana, and earned my BA and MA in English at the University of New Orleans, where I also served as an instructor and coordinator associate for the first-year writing program and the creative writing MFA. My scholarly interests include sf studies, digital humanities, fandom studies, and archival studies. I am also particularly interested in community and emotional labor, and how we approach these ideas within the academy.
