Dr. Anita Harris Satkunananthan is a senior lecturer at the National University of Malaysia. She possesses a PhD in Postcolonial Literature from the University of Queensland at St Lucia, Australia.
Her research interests: Postcolonial Gothic, Phenomenology: Spatial and Temporal studies encompassing Hauntology, Geocriticism, and Memory Studies. Anita has been awarded grants from the Centre for Research and Instrumentation, UKM and the Malaysian Ministry of Education. She has recently been working on Anthropocene literary criticism and ecoGothic literature — both subfields deeply connected to her ongoing work on the postcolonial Gothic and the spatio-temporal configurations of phenomenology in literature.
