My Master of Studies dissertation ‘Inns and Innkeeping in North Hertfordshire: 1660-1815′ submitted in May 2019 addresses the lack of a localised study on this building type and supplements the wider body of work that has been undertaken, on inn form, function and innkeeping lifestyles in other regions of England. A mark of ’70’ was awarded for this work. A copy of the full dissertation is available at the Architecture and History of Art Library, University of Cambridge.
