    attempt to bring the horrors of the indo-china war to the most intimate part of women, 1967, xuan loc, rvn
    Notes:
    there was a lot of talk in the 60's about bringing the indo-china war (krieg) back home to the american population so they could truly understand what we were doing there in its full horrror. what happened in the poem is based on a true incident, the aftermath of a night ambush, the typical small-unit infantry action during the ten years of the american phase - ambush and counter-ambush.
