- Abstract:
- sw[LAB] NZE Prototype creates a new Hybridized Ecosystem––an Energy Farm/Outdoor Classroom (EF/OC) for a Detroit public school and surrounding neighborhood. Our vision engages the community and leverages assets of a strong institutional presence, vacancy, and diverse partners in order to generate energy, wealth and educational opportunities. Balancing economic, environmental and social values, our project links the school and neighborhood through net zero energy (NZE) landscape and infrastructure networks/structures.
