- Abstract:
- The biographical trajectory of the Franco-Flemish composer Josquin des Prez can be described as exciting and his musical contribution as transcendent in an era of sublime creativity that coincided with the artistic and intellectual rediscovery of the values of classical Greco-Latin antiquity. A contemporary of Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo, his musical work is equivalent in sound to the level of excellence achieved by the two geniuses of the plastic arts, representing one of the milestones of the Renaissance, thanks to which the Franco-Flemish school reached the height of its prestige in the transition from the 15th to the 16th century.
