    Abstract:
    A major issue is gender inequality. Women are beginning to stand up for their rights all throughout the world. From reproductive rights to equitable pay, feminism is working to find solutions to these and other issues. However, particularly in Iran, Islamic feminism is fighting on a completely other front. Iranian women are subject to a theocratic government, which means that Sharia Law—known as the "Law of God" in Islamic tradition—rules the nation. It might seem impossible for women's rights to exist in a patriarchal nation like Iran, yet it is. In this study, I examined gender inequality as regard to sexual harassment, political inequality and early marriages in Iran. The results show high indices of inequality these parameters. For early marriages from 2006-2013 there is a 40% increase of under 19 years marriage. Sexual harassment increased from 1.3% to 36.1% in 2016. These indices are worrisome. Therefore, it is important for development of legislation to ensure a clear and explicit stand against gender inequality should be encouraged. Keywords: Gender, violence, freedom, feminism, protest.
