    Abstract:
Curriculum mapping for art programs at a small liberal arts college reveals a need for information literacy instruction in three areas – basic art and general library information, art citation and deeper library research, and copyright, fair use and best practices for art-making. This presentation demonstrates how to identify prospective classes for information literacy instruction within an art curriculum. Included are steps for reaching out to the art department for inclusion of class instruction, with a goal to reach all art major and minor students with important information literacy concepts. Presented as part of Programmatic Information Literacy Instruction in Art & Design Libraries panel.
