On historical persistence of transpersonal symbols and memes

- The paper overviews various symbolic systems known in ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt of the dynasties, Late Antiquity, the Christian Middle Ages and the era of industrial revolutions. The review covers both systemic (Sumerian ME, Egyptian secret names) and similia similibus correspondences used in mythology, in the historical development of magic, Alexandrian alchemy and early medical treatises. The meaning of symbols is discussed within the framework of psychological and social archetypes, and in the esoteric concept of 'control codes of reality'. The transformation of this concept from the ancient Platonic eidos and Kabbalistic names of God to vitalistic energies and modern information theories of the 'quantum computer of the universe', fields and 'subtle' (dark) matter is shown. Several transpersonal memes are considered, such as 'eternal life', 'pact with gods', or 'feeding ancestors'. They are typically associated with interactions with the 'other world' and are invariant to culture and historical period. The work discusses the anomalous historical persistence of some symbolic systems that have remained unchanged for almost 6 thousand years in the written history of civilization.
