    Abstract:
    This letter of thanks from J. B. Taylor of Dundee was sent to James McCaldin Loewenthal (JMcC), the linen and jute merchant, from his friend in Scotland in gratitude for a shipment of pineapples and other delicacies from Pernambuco, Brazil.
