    Abstract:
    This letter to his mother Jane from the linen merchant John McCaldin Loewenthal was sent from Montevideo, Uruguay. It includes narratives from two dates, 30th June and 3rd July. A transcript is available at https://loewenthal.pressbooks.com/chapter/montevideo_3-july1890/
