• Trascendencia, asombro y experiencia religiosa en la obra literaria de Jesús Montiel

    Abstract:
    In this article, we analyze the literary work of the Spanish writer Jesús Montiel. In spite of his youth and the fact that his books are still unknown by the wider public, Montiel’s writing is of undeniable literary quality and human exquisiteness. We crumble his poetry and prose in search of the keys of his literary and existential proposal: his understanding of the structure of the human being, his constant invitation to wonder and amazement as an adamic experience capable of awakening the religious consciousness, and his experience of suffering and pain as a challenge which man has to face. We believe that Montiel’s work contains a way of facing the reality that can be humanly attractive and liberating for today’s men and women. En el presente artículo analizamos la obra literaria del escritor granadino Jesús Montiel que, a pesar de que —en parte por su juventud— aún ha de ser descubierta por el gran público hispano, es de una calidad literaria y una exquisitez humana que el lector abierto no podrá negar. Desmenuzamos su poesía y su prosa en busca de las claves de su propuesta literaria y existencial: su entendimiento de lo que es estructuralmente el ser humano, su invitación al asombro como experiencia adámica capaz de despertar en el hombre la conciencia o sentido religioso que lo constituye, y su vivencia del sufrimiento y del dolor —desafíos que todo hombre ha de afrontar—. Creemos que la obra de Montiel contiene y testimonia un modo de estar ante la realidad que puede resultar humanamente atractivo y liberador para el hombre y la mujer de hoy, que a menudo se hallan prisioneros de múltiples cadenas.
