    Abstract:
This presentation summarized the logistic regression model that was created to study the REPDA dataset of the water rights system in Mexico. The main goal was to verify whether the following hypothesis holds: has the water right system in Mexico led to an increase and concentration of water exploitation in Mexico? This was the first time that this dataset was analysed and as such diverse manipulations were carried out to clean the dataset. Among them, a principal component analysis was carried out to sort the variables of the models using the software R. The results determine that indeed there has been a positive relationship between the number of water permits leased and the amount of water extracted for agricultural and industrial uses.
