    Abstract:
There's a difference between "Marcion" and "Marcionists" that is rarely considered by historians. Focusing on the evolution of Marcionism in the 3rd century Syriac area, this speech tries to show the neoplatonic contamination of Marcion's doctrines in order to better determine the nature of his original 'Jewish' thought . From the speech "For a 'new' Marcion. Notes on a work by Han J. W. Drijvers" (01/18/2010), this text was the working draft for an article to be issued in an unpublished miscellanea ("Filosofia, mito e Rivelazione"). NB: as a transcription based on a speech, this draft lacks of detailed bibliographical references
