    Abstract:
    Complice la crescita economica della Cina e dell’Asia Meridionale e l’espansione degli interessi strategici dell’Italia, che oramai si stanno orientando sempre di più verso l’Asia, si aprono lungo le Vie della Seta nuovi mercati per le imprese italiane. Dal mantenimento di buone relazioni con la Turchia passa, dunque, non soltanto la difesa degli interessi strategici italiani nel Mediterraneo, spesso messi in difficoltà dall’asse franco-elleno-egiziano, ma altresì la possibilità di espansione economica di Roma nei mercati asiatici e la sicurezza energetica del Paese. Con o senza l’ombrello dell’Unione Europea.
