- We propose that Aves sin nido, by Clorinda Matto, had the intention of questioning the legal apparatus that governed the reality of her time in order to modify it. The novel turned out to be daring on a socio-cultural level, and according to the current Printing Law, it was subversive and should have been brought to trial. The author dared to publish a text that was uncomfortable for many instances of power, the religious one in particular, with the conscience of being able to go to jail.

- Proponemos que la novela Aves sin nido, de Clorinda Matto de Turner, tuvo por intención cuestionar el aparato jurídico que regía la realidad de su época con el propósito de modificarlo. La novela resultó ser atrevida en el plano sociocultural, y según la Ley de Imprenta vigente, era subversiva y debió ser llevada a juicio. La autora se atrevió a publicar un texto que resultó incómodo a muchas instancias del poder, el religioso en particular, con la conciencia de poder ir a la cárcel.
