- Abstract:
- A review of a series of interviews with prominent political theorists (Wendy Brown, Braidotti, Jean-Luc Nancy, Negri, Vogl, Esposito, Tariq Ali, Saskia Sassen, Maurizio Lazzarato, and Angela McRobbie). All of them reflect on contemporary political crises and the concept of crisis itself. This review considers their political positions as well as their political position - how do they take stance both on and within these issues? To this end, a disconnect is identified between the radicalism and resistance advocated for in certain settings and the more complacent attitude toward certain political issues arising within academic institutions. Finally, the politics of these academic institutions are considered for how they might influence the rhetoric of crisis, the crisis of crisis, or the crisis turn.
