- Abstract:
- What was the language spoken by the Troyans? If we quote Homer in that part where he speaks of Troyan army: "... for they had not one speech nor language, but their tongues were diverse, and they came from many different places" (Iliad, IV, 437-8, translated by Samuel Butler), we might as well keep in mind that the language mostly heard in that army was probably Luwian.
